PrincessNinjato's News

I worked on some features for my game so far.

I am still in the middle of making some of the sprites for some of the actions but I feel this will TOP Bunny and Kitsune by a LONG SHOT!

Keep in mind you will be able to stomp on enemies and the projectiles have a limit to how long they can be on screen before they vanish instead of going offscreen killing far off mobs.

This one is called Wake up Quest 2.
I am making this a HUGE step up from the last one.

I am taking what I learned from my stomp test and will have it that the stomp effect happens when falling not also when jumping.

Also I am got the basis for a singel screen shooter done that will be a part of my 3 games in devlopment.

This will ensure more games to come and something can be done when I wanna work on something else instead of only devoting more time to one project.

This is Day Dream Pop.

This test version you will see some stuff change over time in the video but this is just a sample of what's to come.

Now I am thinking about making this game a LITE version with its own set of levels and ending and making this a bigger game that I can put a price on at GameJolt but let's see where the road takes me.

I recentlly started working on some game projects to upload here and on GameJolt.
One game I started the basis of is pretty much a half block ball half pinball game inspired by the arcade game Gunbarich

but with more of a swing control like a tennis game.

But while I don't have any footage on that yet I did come here for another thing!

After my last game Bunny and Kitsune Day Dream Adventure I tried every so often and today I finally got the stomp feature correct

Here is a test video to show you what it looks like in a very basic way

Soooooo next time I make an adventure game you won't have to avoid jumping on enemies to die so thats a good thing to look forward too.

I do have another Dream based adventure game planned but 4 playable chars instead of swapping to 2 of them.
That game I am going to have a set gameplay for each char so one will always be at cap speed and long jumping, One will be at a basic run and jump speed, the other will have a build up speed over time and the last one will beable to fly but moves slowly and will reduce some points if you beat the stage with the flying type.

I'll use this picture as an example

2379394_150457914472_new_intro_for_my_pc_by_lunaprincessninjato-dbios95.jpg

The dragon does have wings...For the life of me I don't know why I forgot to draw them.

So the little dream sprite above will ride on one of these dream animals you select

Bunny (Now rocking a cape and has a sword instead of a long scarf)
Will be at a fixed speed and jump to be well balanced
I am kicking around the idea that if you press UP when you have Bunny she will stand on a magic circle to stay in the air until you press down.

Kitsune (The dream Kyubii)
She will have a speed that builds over time...(Think Sonic the Hedgehog)
Due to one of the Acorn Mania games I can give Kitsune the ablity to hover left and right when you hold up
and drop when you press down.

Lucid (That freaky eyed cat)
She will be at top speed and jump like when most of my recent games when you hold the dash key.
I am trying to figure out what her up arrow skill will be....I may give her a single shot star that when it hits a solid object she warps to star she shot like a teleport

Drack-Ko-Hana (The dragon who has no wings in that pic but has wings)
Fly slow, Shoots fireballs....That's it.

This will be a side project but right now I am doing some smaller games and kicking around some puzzle games since I can now do this.

I been honing my ablities so this may mean slower uploads but better games.

Thank you for viewing all of this.

So here is 5-1,

Pretty much 5-1 through 5-3 will be like this but 5-4...I may do a tree caslte or something but I'll have it done soon.
The new demo build will be ready in due time also instead of replacing the one I uploaded I will be adding a new game instead since I recentlly updated the game and cancelled the Bunny and Kitsune is now pretty muched infused into this game.

After I am done making stage 5-5 I am going to make a new demo build that has all of these new features and updates and more.

Here is 4-1 Before some minor and major updates and fixes

Here is 4-4

I'll have updates and a new playable build soon for here and GameJolt

Sorry if things have been slow...VERY SLOW.....vvveeerrryyy sssllllooowwwww.....
I been in the middle animation projects and request and learn the hard way that I can't juggle a LOT and still do many....

I went and finally made the basis for level 3 with this example level.

I also adjusted the walk animations and few other tweeks but some things I just will have to roll with since their bodies are very horizontal so adjusting the tails and cape will still have the same results so I just left them as is.

I'll have more updates over time and this game was mainly made to test what I made so far and has become a beast of its own but there is a bigger game I do have in the works that is pretty much this game but more of a story and worlds and saving and money to buy.

This is Bunny & Kitsune

This game I am going to over time make brand new music for this game while Daydream Adventure uses a lot of music I already made that has been spread thoughout many of my recent games.

The main game is going to take some time since I am also juggling other game projects and animations sooooo I made a demo to try and see what I did so far.

There are 2 levels and 4 phases in each level.
I am making the game in the style of Super Mario Bros like 1-1 1-2 1-3 1-4.
Also each level will use the Mario style locations

World 1-Grass
World 2-Sand....Or Pyramid and yellow
World 3-Water
World 4-Ice or jungle
World 5-Cloud or cave or something off the wall
World 6-Cave or carnival to mix it up
World 7-Gotta be a city level
World 8-Some kind of lava world

Also you can see each 4th stage has a castle style stage.

Stage 1 had a broken down alter with scrolling landscape
Stage 2 has a pyramid you are inside this time.

Well I just had to praise the sun since the screen whent all black...Nice one NG.

So back to my game,
Here is what I did so far

1-Learned to use layers and scrolling layers to make a background that stays in place on one layer and the rest move.

2-Add foreground features and overall adress weird things that can happen with the engine when a sprite has a part of the body still touching the object...It can look silly

3-I show some good level designs and added more visual effects.

One major thing I did was test the game in flash mode using the "Build/Run" also I saved the game as a small .swf and the scrolling is a GO!

This game I once made

This game here was going to be super big but while the demo is playable here the game was an unfinished prouduct...I would later realize the parallax was not the only tool I used to add these effects that I had to remove but the extnetions made the game go haywire when trying to save the build and I lost faith and later made an animation based on this to kind of tie up loose ends.

Now that I know how to use the default layers and scrolling feature...This game is not going to end up like the PrincessLuna's Little Adventure.

Kind of sad that these cool tricks and visuals are for a game that was ment to be a simple to play game and I have a BIGGER game project coming soon but the upsdie is when I do make the bigger game I can do much more and be prepared.
